Internship programme - vacancy CTA annual seminar Media
Duties
Under supervision of the Senior Program Coordinator, responsible for the seminar at CTA, and in close collaboration with the members of the steering committee, the trainee will be responsible for:
• Contribution in the selection of participants and speakers (criteria selection, evaluation of the abstracts);
• Contribution in finalising the seminar’s programme after steering committee meeting;
• Contribution to the preparation to the steering committee meeting (July 2009);
• Contribution in reviewing and coordinating the translation of abstracts and finalisation of their collection in a book;
• Member of CTA administrator team of the E-discussion;
• Participation in different sessions of the seminar in Brussels;
• Editing of the who’s who directory;
• Uploading of the available documents to the website of the seminar;
• Contribution to the preparation of post conference publications;
• Moderation of the blog of the seminar;
• Other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Profile
• University degree (at least a Bachelor’s degree) in communication and media sciences;
• Familiarity with and experience/keen interest in the area of information and communication issues as well as African Caribbean and Pacific countries;
• Fluent written and spoken French or English and ability to work in the other language is an advantage;
• Proficient Internet skills;
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and Power Pont software;
• Good organisation skills and excellent inter-personal and communication skills in a multi-cultural environment;
• National of either a European Union member state (EU) or of one of the 79 African, Caribbean or Pacific (ACP) States.
